Well, glued a strip for the first time. Seems like a good fit to the first strip except at the tough twist at the bow. I'll take that for a first time!

First strips are on the molds! Also beveled my first strip. I used the @guillemotkayaks Robo-bevel and things went pretty well. Slow, but well.

I was able to layout and mount the station blocks tonight. I couldn't resist the urge to clamp up the forms since I didn't have the time to set them up right. I had to get the sneak peak of her uniquely @ashesstillwaterboats shape. I still dig the tumblehome. . For the non-canoe builders, these forms give the boat its shape; the hull will be built around them: upside down as you can (hopefully) tell. . I saw frost on the ground last week, so a short break from canoe work was in order to get this @mrheater shop heater off the floor and on the ceiling. 50,000 BTU of instant warm hands will now be at my beck and call for the remainder of the build. . #winteriscoming #barnshop #woodshop

Finished ripping strips last night; they are ready for the planer. The @freud_tools glue line rip blade cut great. Next time I’ll rip to final width and skip the planer. . I was also happy with the @magtoolscom featherboard and @microjig splitter.
