Ten strips on the boat is a milestone worthy of a picture, right? 60 some to go! Going staple(less) has been surprisingly easy. Tape does 80+% of it, the clamps and a little hot glue to hold to the forms does the rest. That being said, I haven't made it to the difficult parts of the hull yet.

Progress will be slow as I get on only 1 or 2 strips a day with maybe 70+ish total to go on the boat. I wish I had a whole boat full of these dark strips that fade from dark brown to red.

Well, glued a strip for the first time. Seems like a good fit to the first strip except at the tough twist at the bow. I'll take that for a first time!

First strips are on the molds! Also beveled my first strip. I used the @guillemotkayaks Robo-bevel and things went pretty well. Slow, but well.

Station forms mounted up with the laser. I'm getting nervous for the 'actual' canoe building that is fast approaching. . #canoe #canoeing #canoebuilding #cedarcanoe #cedarstripcanoe #boatbuilding #wood #woodworking #woodworkersofinstagram #paddling #ausable #ashesstillwaterboats #laser #laserlevel #woodshop #barnshop #woodenboat #woodcanoe
